Summer has arrived and with it came a Memorial Day road trip across Colorado and Utah with some of my international student friends.
With Denver as our first stop, we grabbed visits to a great Chinese restaurant and the Denver Botanic Gardens, before attending a Colorado Rockies baseball game. The next day we did some hiking at nearby Garden of the Gods and Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument before settling down in Gunnison, Colorado for the night. Early next morning found us on the Taylor River for some fun Class III whitewater rapids. In the afternoon, we ended hiking in Colorado National Monument. Finally, on the last day, we went skydiving over in Moab, Utah.
While I have plenty of great memories from this trip, a recent uptick in my workload prevents me from expanding on those here and now. Nevertheless, I think the pictures below say it best.
Indeed life is a precious gift. I look at these pictures, think of the fond memories we shared and believe that everything is/will be alright (:
Send my love to you and Xiao En. All the best!
Thank you, Huong!
